As several have stated here, psoriasis is not contagious, but the treatment is very costly for anyone without insurance. I have psoriatic arthritis, and the injections I take cost about $6,500 a month. Lotion is about $300 a bottle (retail) and shampoo is about the same. The price with a discount card like Good RX is much more affordable, but still costly for a single mom. I'm going to try to bring her some next visit. She's a sweetheart.

Hey man, she has psoriasis. Its not contagious and kind of comes and goes for her. She's probably been under some stress as the holidays are coming up and she is trying to support her little family. I wouldn't stop seeing her for that reason.

She has a skin condition called Psoriasis, it's not contagious. A condition in which skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches.

Psoriasis is thought to be an immune system problem. Triggers include infections, stress, and cold.

Was able to book an appt with the fabulous Sarah Maitland last week. Per usual always ready at the agreed upon time or earlier, picked her up and headed to G.
