The real kicker for me with that night trying to setup a date with Aleja was I wasn't really wanting to go out. I had finished up a late shift at work a little earlier than expected, got cleaned up and was about to head home when I looked to see recent posts. Aleja was at the top of list and had only posted 10 minutes prior. I remember reading that she had recently moved and her expenses had increased. I think the sympathy side of me took over which convinced myself that spending an hour with her on the way home would be nice. After 30 minutes between text responses and 2 and half hours later the mood had definitely left and my thoughts turned more to getting home and getting some sleep.
