Trying to put some tips together to keep you guys from getting ripped off etc etc.

1. Never pay a deposit (definitely a scam).

2. Phone call is a must (if they're too shady to speak, they're probably too shady to do business with).

3. Read reviews (I'm pretty sure some of these girls have fake profiles and leave themselves fake reviews. Mixed reviews ranging from cash and dash to great game are also a red flag).

4. Never pay before services rendered (tell them this is your policy before leaving the house).

5. Empty pockets before going in. Only car keys and agreed donation (unless #8 applies).

6. Beware of lurkers. About every report of cash and dash / robberies have an element of lurkers. Usually boyfriends or pimps.

7. No one uses a hotel phone anymore. If that rings, it was almost certainly a planned call.

8. If these red flags go off before arriving, leave cash in car. If it gets more sketchy. Tell them you forgot it and need to go get it and bounce. If it turns out to be a good date, have them walk to the car with you to retrieve it.

9. Never give personal info. Use a burner app like "text free" with a fake number, use a fake name, fake work badge, and never tell them which town you're really coming from.

Pulled in parking lot in hamburg area late couple nights ago, as I was walking to the lobby a young guy passed me outside and headed to the pool area which was closed. Got to room and within 5 minutes she gets a call on the room phone. Says her brother just pulled up and needed some money, he was waiting at the pool area so she would be right back. I reached back and grabbed my cash and told her I was out.
