Type in your number on the dial pad. There should be an option to "look up" right above the numbers. Good luck.

I got an Android phone. Dunno if the iPhone is the same UI, but for Android you use the keypad option and type in the number. There will be a "button" that pops up you can select. It will show you comments that others have associated with your number. GL!
