Not sure this is the right forum for this story but was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this sort of thing happening in DC? Clearly, they were after my wallet or worse.

I've never heard of that happening around here, but I haven't been a part of the bar scene for years. The worst thing that ever happened to me in DC was getting mugged a couple of times when picking up streetwalkers back in the mid-90's, after which I stopped going to that part of town.
