Anyway, finally asks me to come get her and drop her off at a crisis center in MoCo when he's at work. She sends me the address, XXXX, XXst NW in DC. I ask specifically is it NW or NE as it makes a huge difference. Ask her what is close by and she says she does not know as she is not allowed outside (second red flag). I ask if there is a Mickey Ds right close by and she says yes, very close (there is one next door to the NW address) so I head out there when she says he just left for work, park, let her know I'm there and she says she's coming. After 15 minutes of back and forth, she still does not come out and says she does not see anyone outside. Ask her again for the address and she sends the same exactly address but NE. I look and there is no Mickey D's within a mile, very residential (third red flag). At this point I'm thinking I've been catfished. So I really let her have it and about to head home when she keeps begging me to not leave and come get her as she's all packed and ready to leave. The NE location is 15 minutes from the NW location and by this time I've blown an hour into this wild goose chase, figured I could waste another 15 minutes so head to the NE location.

When I get there, it's very residential, again text I'm there and she says she needs a few minutes a she's still grabbing a few last minute things (fourth red flag). When I say I thought she was packed and waiting, radio-silence. Finally she responds and says come to the front door and help her with her stuff to the car. I go to the front door, knock, nothing. Walk back to the car and text her and she says someone told him there was a guy of the front door and he called her and threaten her not to leave. At this point I'm 100% sure I've been catfished and leave. Send her one last text telling her to stop wasting my time, she deserves to get beat up if she won't help herself. She says she cannot believe I said that and she apologizes because she chickened out. I say if she is who she says she is to send me a selfie. She actually does and it is her, no black eyes or any sign of abuse. She apologizes for chickening out and fucking up and asks to keep in touch.

The only thing I did not ask for is a selfie with an X number of fingers trick. So it still could be a catfish by someone who has access to her photos. One thing I won't do again is to drive out to get her but if she reaches out to me again, I'll say, grab an Uber to the Metro and head out to me. I don't mind helping someone in need but I ain't going on another wild goose chase. Total time wasted 2 hours but I really did think I was helping her get out of an abusive situation. I do think she was beat up by him but I think she has it pretty good living with him as it's a nice house in a decent neighborhood, she probably gets a decent place to sleep, food and all she has to do ifs fuck him. She may not have the freedom to leave any time she wants when he's around but this is her choice to stay when he's not around. Thoughts?

Also if anyone gets contacted by her to come pick her up, you can decide if you want to waste your time.
