I don't play golf or poker. My only hobbies are music and working out. Neither of those lend themselves to time away from home or spending lots of money. Looks like I need a new hobby. Working from home makes it worse too since she's at home. It was always easy to get out of the office for an "appointment. " It's harder to fake that at home.

Posts: 3070Well I guess in a simple ironic twist you have a partner that wants to be with you hahaha. Yea sounds like you need a solo hobby! I know where there is a game store where people gather to play board games and drink beer. You could find your inner nerd and tell her that you have become into that. No woman wants to do that haha.

Unfortunately I have made it know I hate golf, and wife wants to learn, so if I picked it back up, it would be another "thing we do together". I swear, I have zero hobbies that are just my own. I want to run, she runs. Hike and backback, so does she. Workout, so does she. Anything I name, she has to join me on.

I get the 100 mg generic Walmart brand. $30 for 30 pills every month. The first time, I had to show the girl the GoodRx deal notification on my phone. Since then, I just have to tell them that I want the GoodRx discount.

Posts: 3070What about golf? I don't play it but apparently it takes most of the day to play! You can say you rent the clubs from the Golf Club haha. Making excuses for time seems easier than trying to cover money loss haha. One time its a double feature at the movies, the next its going to top golf, another you went to see a buddy.

Posts: 3070I have used RO for when I want some extra help. Its simple questions, send a photo of yourself and your I'd. Cost has recently gone up, but I stretch out the prescription by only using a 3rd of the dose. Product comes in a black envelope with minimal markings.

We ought to organize a poker game, like a real one. Play for a bit, get a few pics. Then we all say we "lost" his problem is money, mine is time. I need better excuses for leaving the house. A 3-4 poker game would work well.

So my buddy basically just buys a gift card mostly and if the transaction is questioned; he just says he bought someone in the family or at the office a gift for whatever occasion. You obviously can buy gift cards anywhere.
I am not sure how many providers would turn down a gift card as a form of payment unopened, but I'd ask before making the appointment. I also believe you can use it on venmo and cash app. Not sure if this helps, but maybe! Luckily, my SO and I have separate accounts and then we have 1 shared account where we pay the bills. Goodluck!

I have had a separate bank a / c for years to supplement funding my golf vacations and extra-curricular activities. The a / c is setup to only send notifications by email (I also have secondary email for this purpose). Even if mail is sent (IE ATM card, 1099 statement etc.), the address on file is my buddy's apartment. Easy to fund using online deposits and / or Zelle payments to myself. Caution: I try to minimize transactions on my laptop or phone to this a / c for fear of leaving evidence behind.

Posts: 3070Could you say that you have taking up playing poker? The large withdrawls could be paying off a bet? Borrow some cash occasionally from a buddy to make a deposit to show that you win at times, of course you would have to pay him back haha. Guess I haven't thought this out ha. I think your real issue is showing where all your money is going over a period of time? Is your paycheck direct deposit and is it always for the same amount?

How does everyone hide the money trail from their spouse or SO? I usually get cash back at grocery stores, but that takes time, withdrawing small amounts every few weeks. My wife used to never look at the online bank account because she isn't very tech savvy so I just took out cash when I needed it. Recently she's started to look at it. No more large withdrawals for me. Also, too many cash back transactions in a small amount of time will be noticeable in our banking app, thus the need to spread them out over time.
I see that you can do direct deposit to PayPal and get a debit card. Has anyone done that? What about online only banks like Ally? They still have to mail you a debit card, so that would be hard to explain if you didn't get the mail before your wife. Looking for good options if anyone has any.
JB.
