I've read enough about the demise of Treasure Island and Sunset Strip to conclude that a rest stop on my way up the Thruway is no longer a viable option. Several of you have mentioned "northern NJ". I would be grateful beyond belief for any recommendations of NJ clubs that are as great as the New Windsor / Newburgh clubs were in their heyday. I'm remembering the days of Roxy doing me raw back in the day. I'll be driving on I-287 from I-78 to the Thruway but am willing to deviate if appropriate. I don't want to steer you wrong, Max: causing you to overly deviate from your Albany-bound trajectory. Here's the "hmmm" part. Apologies to all if you saw some guy half naked in one of the Rt. 300 parking lots with his shirt off, clorox wipes and a bottle of Febreze doing the "ghetto shower" thing.
