There was a tv show in the 70's called the Odd Couple. The TV show had Tony Randall as Felix Unger. These two are constantly battling with comedic results.

Its hard to tell. We as Americans see through our own cultural lense. There are plenty of groups in the US, who see all these girls as exploited slave labor. Because what woman in her right mind would enjoy giving pleasure to men all day? Even we men, tend to be romantic, caring, etc. At our best. And we think in those terms.
