You do not need a Chinese citizen to authenticate. Go to the Verify Identity section where you verify your real name and cell phone number. Once verification is complete you can exchange QR codes with the girls, where you can chat by voice, video and text. As an added feature, they have a tinder like feature called people nearby. You can see girls nearby. I have scored hookups using this feature. The only services you cannot use are the financial ones which require a mainland China bank account. I find that the girls are more receptive when they learn you have a WeChat account.
