I would warn everyone here that cancelling out of frustration can sometimes lead to unnecessary conflicts with the booker. Not speaking for all bookers, but some can be pretty irrational and pin the blame on you if you try to cancel after BS like this. Best solution would be to request shortening the time like did, given that it was their fuck up.

I guess I should mention to always be cordial even if the booker is at fault (or in my case, the defective callbox) to avoid getting blacklisted. Even though I was annoyed with the booker asking me to try the callbox again for the nth time, I never expressed anger or tried to antagonize them. I just told them the door wouldn't open and I would try to make another appointment for another time. That was when they finally sent a girl to open the gate manually. I know everyone who frequents the Tustin location knows what I'm talking about. It always gives me anxiety hearing that tone when entering through the gate.
