Heading to Providence area tonite around 8. From the reports here, It seems that the clubs are not even worth the bother. Is that the opinion here? Thank you.

There's definitely a cover at Desires, every night, starting at 6.

I was a member for a while, so I never noticed, but I was in there recently, probably around 6:30, and the guy at the door said there was a cover every night starting at 6.

I have never seen the club without at least 2 or 3 dancers in the room, but I suppose it's possible. I don't think I've ever seeen a day dancer leave before 6, but lots of them start leaving at 6:30.

Yeah, it must be a more recent, or possibly a post covid thing, since it used to start at 8. Being a day person a cover never even enters my thought process!

A few years back when Zebra was still in the picture, they didn't charge a cover until 9. I'm guessing that was to challenge the Desire cover at 8.

Been hating Desire recently anyway since most of the girls have GPS and I will not go down that road! They are not a necessary commodity!

Hmmm! There was never a cover at CD before 8 unless things changed recently. The day girls start leaving as soon as their stage sets are done which can probably be from 5 on. I have been there around 6 without a single female in the room, except the bartenders of course.

I've had a similar experience at CD. I would sometimes get out of work early and get there around 3:30 or 4:00 and there's no cover and a good number of dancers. But a few times I've gotten there around 6:00 and paid a cover and had no dancers there (and I've left). So it seems that if the nighttime dancers are supposed to get there by 7 and often don't get there (or come out of the back) until 7:30 or 8:00 that the cover charge should start at that time.

If the afternoon shift girl stays past the afternoon shift she's deemed to be working the evening shift and has to pay the evening shift fee to the club. They work like independent contractors. Also, most of them have obligations to pick up kids at a certain time and don't always have the flexibility to stay past their planned end time.

Yes, but at most clubs, and certainly CD, the afternoon shift officially ends at 8:00. However, most of the girls are gone by 7, which is the issue.

To my surprise, Foxy Lady opened at 6 pm tonight. Great heading that way. Get there at about 630 pay a $10 cover, get drinks and discover there is not 1 dancer in the place. 4 doormen 1 bartender. Waiting patiently for girls to arrive. My cousin question is why would a gentleman's club open with no entertainment, why charge the cover when there is no entertainment? Bad planning. If girls want to work the big money weekends they should be required to work the slow days.

That is a shame. Cheaters / Zebra was my go to place back in the day. Had some of my best times at a club there. I wonder why it's taking so long to get back to normal?

Like others, I used to like WZ. I wasn't there in the Cheaters era but I got the impression that WZ was pretty much a new name but the same model. I once had a conversation with a WZ bouncer who called himself "the white wolf" and he told me that WZ and Cheaters were the same and that he had worked there for a long time. When they shut down, I read some things that they (the city?) didn't want it to be like it used to be. The Wonderland people bought it and their idea was to make it more of a nightclub with some dancers.

I stopped in to Silhouettes once in an afternoon. There was one dancer and the place was empty. We chatted at the bar for a few minutes. What I learned is that the "private dance room" is monitored with cameras which makes me think that they are trying to make sure there are no "extras" going on. The bartender jumped into the conversation and she had some video on her phone of some of the evening activity there. What I saw was a lot of enthusiastic stage dancing with blinged-out guys who looked like extras in rap videos making it rain.

I had a conversation with Joy maybe about a year ago about doing a room and not exactly sure how it went but I think the menu was quite limited so declined.

It is just a long lap dance. Certainly not worth the price. Other options are more fun there.

I stopped in there a couple times 2 or 3 weeks ago. No booths yet and the place was dead as can be. I did go to the private area, with no booths, and the ld's were 20 to the house and whatever the girl charges. One time it was 80 and I think much more for the other. Definitely not worth it! It has to loosen up or will fold undoubtedly! As other clubs have proven, there is a smarter way to do it!

That is a shame. Cheaters / Zebra was my go to place back in the day. Had some of my best times at a club there. I wonder why it's taking so long to get back to normal?
