Don't be too hard on yourself. First off, don't be too hard on yourself about why you do "this". There's tons of reasons we do what we do. First starting with our DNA and need to propagate the population. Anything else we do is often unnatural and more a decision then it is a fundamental part of who we are. We do this for so many reasons that it would be impossible to list them.
