One of the more unusual scams I've ever run across. Actually so unusual I'm not sure it is a scam as much as it would be just a way to overpromise and under deliver. And I can't help but feel like her pic looks super familiar. Maybe another guy saw her under a different profile name.

Anyways, she wants a "gift" when you meet in person, a fishing reel. It runs over 700. She told me she'd see me 3 times if I brought one. Of course there's a million different ways that's a bad idea. Best case scenario is you do see her once, give her the gift, have fun one time, then she ghosts. When I offered to pay her more PPM than the reel would cost over 3 meets, she took offense.

If I had to guess, the scam actually isn't about that, but instead she's (or whoever is running this account) is likely selling these things, and I suspect if I showed more interest she'd sent me a link to buy them, then of course would no show the meet. And when you tried to return it, the place you bought it from wouldn't accept the return, and if you try to re-sell it you find out you got some cheap knockoff not worth what you paid for it. I'm just spitballing, that may be way to complex for this, but it's the only way I could play it out in my head. Anyways, if anyone has seen her before she got into shark fishing let me know if I'm missing a good thing. Otherwise, this was one of the stranger conversations I had.

So I did video chat with this one, so it is a real person. But likewise the whole bring me this particular gift thing just weirded me out. Also when I didn't reply for a few hours I got about 15 consecutive messages. She looked super familiar to me too but I couldn't spot where I have seen her before. She actually knew a ton about fishing, I was somewhat convinced she was real, but the blowing up my burner phone told me what I'd be getting into if I did go through with it.

Got catfished by this girl. Either the girl in the pictures is someone else or its heavily photoshopped. Decided to meet up with her at a hotel and didn't bother to do my typical photo verification process since her photos was verified by Seeking.

Her body is the same or similar to the girl in the photos but her face is completely off.

Welp, that's the last time I trust Seeking on their verification process.

Just an FYI I went to set my sub to non-renew before I forgot (You still get the full 30 days so no reason to wait until the day before or the day of to cancel and chance an auto renew).

However, this time when I attempted to cancel the sub, the site offered me to give me an additional 30 days for 20% off. I still declined because frankly I've already found 2 new SBs and have a lot more I'm talking too, but just thought it was worth pointing out for those that were thinking about letting your sub auto renew. You're better off "canceling" to get the discount offer.

The last 3 times mine expired, the next time I logged in I got a pop up offering 20% off to renew. Its the new norm I believe.

I wanted to get that done as it could bring some confidence for the girl I am going to meet soon and it might be a better thing to do as well. I never have unprotected anywhere and usually very clean but just wanted to get it done for the sake of it.

CVS pharmacy does them at their "minute clinics", and they'll file them on insurance if you don't care about that (I don't.) I know some guys have said they find a local Labcorp and go directly to them.

Nice tip, although I tried it and it didn't give me any offer. But I see that now you can pause your membership for 30 or 60 or 90 days. I suppose that's good, although I just use a prepaid card, so it already effectively paused when there weren't funds on the card for it to renew.

I can concur. However, it seems to make the offer when I'm being redirected from this site to the SA website. Meaning, it doesn't give me the offer on the app, it gives it to me when I access it from the website. Also, it takes about a week after I let the sub laps to see that offer. I have read that some get a 33% discount to renew, haven't seen that yet.
