Hey, the best gift I can give you is an education on "how to" search for info on posts. That way you are not reliant on anon people on some Wh*remonger website. You can learn to do for yourself. As you know, I've been on these boards for a number of years now, and I have to admit I have never figured out how to use the search engine effectively and efficiently. I find it to be very user-unfriendly. Is there an easy to follow tutorial?

As I am constantly pounding the table, one of the values of this site is that others can ask "how to" questions so glad you asked. Not to step on Jthinas toes, as he has the basic step needed, but here is a detailed "how to" search on this site with details.

Don't think this site has tutorials on much of anything, so let me take a stab at it. Perhaps others will chime in with short cuts?

This is what kinda works for me. Yeah, searching here is a bit of a pain.

Some notes:

* If the girls's name is "Wu" you are SOL as I think you need at least 3 characters to search.

* The main reason for search failures IMHO is that names get spelled various ways. So if you are looking for "Jackie", make sure you also try every possible spelling or misspelling: I. E. Jacki, Jacky, Jaci, Jaki, Jaqi, etc. Note: the one with the redish hair on the streets & STG, spells her name "Jaci..

Do not think you can search for phone numbers. This is why everyone needs to include a NAME when they type a report or comment!

* Site requires you wait 60 seconds between searches, so be prepared for that. Just open a small can of patience.

So here goes:

1. I suggest using the Advanced Search, rather than the "search thread" that appears on each page. Location of the "Advanced Search" is shown on attached screen shot, its in the upper right hand corner of every page, below the white search box. Click on the words "Advanced Search." While there is prolly no technical reason, in my experience it just "seems like" Advanced Searches work bettter.

2. Advanced Search page (see attached Search #1).

A) Make sure you are searching posts, not just titles.

B) Enter a key word in the box and make sure it shows "search Entire Post" just to the left.

C) Next, below the blue line, in the Additional Options section and "Search in Forum (s) - Scroll down and highlight "Delaware".

You want to do this because of the way the site is set up. Those familiar with New Castle County will post Claymont and the Suburban areas around Wilmington, that are not "technically in" Wilmington, in the Other Areas sections. Plus sometimes posts go in the wrong section or multiple sections. The area is small enough that it just makes sense to search the WHOLE state.

D) MAKE SURE the box next to "also search in child forums" is checked. That insures you the search is ALL of the main sections and anything in those sections.

E) Hit the "search Now" button.

Now if that search fails, you are raring to go with the next one, but the site requires you to wait 60-seconds before initiating the next search, so cill for "a minute" LOL!

Again, I think the main reason for search failures is spelling and the fact that many fail to include an name of the girl being mentioned.

Since the girl that was discussed, I did a search for "Serena". See attached pics Serena Search and Serena Search Results!

WOW! Look there are 83 reports that mention Serena! Reports go back as far as 2016, though I think that one is about a SW and not the internet girl. Looks like she was initially active in 2019 and posted on the "due to SESTA / FOSTA" defunct CityXGuide.
