First up, at about midnight (6/3/22), I once again saw Brenda, sitting on the fire hydrant near the entrance of the Longs parking lot. I am totally in the minority, I guess, but I can not partake in picking her up (to each their own for service). She did not look well and tonight she looked quite drowsy.

In my opinion, you may not be "totally in the minority". Might even be in the majority. Many guys focus more than me on a provider's appearance, have higher minimum standards of appearance, and are of course entitled to those standards. "He who pays the piper calls the tune," as the old saying goes. Concerning the "drowsy" look, yes she's sometimes drowsy, but in my experience she perks up once the date begins, especially if she takes a refreshing shower beforehand.

Second sighting 30 minutes later was Crystal near Tio's Tamales. She was hanging with some guys and another SW I didn't recognize (tall, slim, haole, older in her 50's). Crystal kept eyeing my car, expecting me to call her over, but my rule is never pick up someone in front of their guy friends, as one could be her BF or something else.

Yup, Crystal / Chelsea is often with one or more guys, and many mongers are less likely to stop for a provider in that situation. Either she doesn't comprehend that (as others have noted, she seems to be a dim bulb) or just doesn't care.

Third sighting was the older, black SW Holly, who LOVES her head scarf. I was strongly tempted to partake, but she kept walking aimlessly between Longs and Zippys, all the while playing around with that head scarf.

In my experience, though, she's willing to remove it during a date if requested to do so. I think it would be financially beneficial for her to pay more attention to potential customers in passing cars, appear more friendly, and make more eye contact and smile.

Definitely a mahu. I saw the same one (based on the description. The blond pony tail on top said it all) early Friday morning. And by red outfit, it was a very very revealing lingerie.

Was the tall slim haole blonde haired? If yes someone else spotted her too.

She was wearing some kind of hat or cap, so I couldn't tell. It didn't appear to be dark colored, so possibly dirty blond (After sitting with the boys, she (and Crystal) went across the street to the empty parking lot to sit in the dark on the steps (and more than likely smoke).

Despite the high gas prices, I decided to cruise the Kukui Street area to see what was going on. Surprisingly during my cruise time of midnight til 200 am, there was only 2 mahus out and 3-4 real females out!! Presumably, you mean trading substances to streetwalkers for sexual services.

During my younger and wilder years of downtown mongering, I occasionally reduced the price of a date by providing a substance for a provider's use, but I haven't done that for many years. Yet, because most downtown street providers (of both types) are substance users, presumably it still could be done, especially with a provider who already knows the monger. However, of course, felony possession and distribution of substances can substantially add to the legal risks of mongering.

Plus, a problem may occur when the provider wants to use the substance before the sexual part of the date, which can result in a ripoff for the monger. Additionally, reactions of various providers to various substances can be unpredictable, and after using a substance a provider may no longer want to date or no longer be in a mental or physical condition to give a good date. For example, I recall years ago a provider who wouldn't date without first using a particular substance, but then went into a prolonged deep trance-like state that resulted in no sexual activity.
