Doing what you need to, to stay anonymous, is the smart move. You shouldn't be allowing a provider to collect your personal info, ever. My advice: Don't be "that guy" who regrets they did so.

Very well put and sound advice. I have said in the past here what you stated as far as trust no one. Your favorite provider will sell you out in a heartbeat. And your friendly relationship can go south and then she has you by the shorties if she has info. On you.

I never use my real name. My hobby cell is a burner-no name attached phone. Clothes have no logos from work and so on. This doesn't make me 100% safe but it does decrease my risks.

Based on what I've been reading, mostly in the pugilist thread, this place has cameras that take your picture when you walk in the door and the information is stored in a database, presumably for their protection. Possibly in the parking lot too, though I wasn't clear if the make and model and license plate of the car you drive was part of the screening process or the information was gathered after the fact. How do you reconcile the need for discretion with the cameras and other information that is stored about you? Maybe that's not important, and you just trust the person (s) that has that information on their hard drive? Maybe that's just common practice at all the places? I'm not sure on that, but sure seems like a topic we should be discussing in this section.
