I've seen talk on here about table showering. Do I have to do it or is it optional? I would definitely pre shower before I go.

The table shower is optional, but I would suggest also keeping in mind that your provider could have a preference. If she seems to be assuming / expecting / hoping you will do the shower, keep that in mind too bc it could influence how all-out she goes in service.
