Agreed. Sending a face pic is risky. I suppose you have two options. One, to convince her that you are real and not a thug (Let her see you through the window before you enter her room) or find someone else. I have taken the former approach and been successful in convincing the person that I am no thug. So give it a try if you do not want to share your pic. The other option is to send a nominal amount of 5-10 bucks as an advance. In the worst case scenario you may lose a 5 or 10 but no further risks. I would happily send a small deposit in lieu of your portrait. Everyone's situation is different.
