I have dummy business, multiple gmails, facebook, IG, Twtr, multiple numbers on a burner, etc. I drive multiple cars and never park where my license can be read. I didn't create this all at once but it just accumulated over almost a decade in the sugar bowl. (And multiple unsuccessful blackmail attempts.) All this is aimed at barring the predators and blackmailers from getting to me. Or, equally important, making them think they have me when they have nothing. However, any decent PI will penetrate all of that in a New York minute never mind the state. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

Well said. All this "Opsec" everyone goes on about is to keep the SB's from figuring out who YOU are. Not the government, cops or anyone else with any level of determination and access to real research tools or subpoenas. A SB can't call or write Apple, Google, or your car manufacturer to check on your whereabouts. It's just silly to think you can avoid that scrutiny from anyone conducting an investigation.
