I don't think you're overthinking. They want this power to feel safe that we're not a danger to them, just like you want to feel like you're not waking into a dangerous situation. I'm seeing an alarming number of providers requesting photos before they see you. I have never and will never do this. It isn't safe. The provider could post your pic somewhere, blackmail you, or it could be a sting and then the cops know what you look like before you even get to the room.

It's a shame that I have to pass on so many providers. I don't know where they are getting that this is okay to want a pic from us. Or am I overthinking this?
