I think high gas prices and hotel costs eat too much into profits. I just took a look at hotel prices and anything that is not a Notel and conveniently located is like $150/ night. Plus the comment last week about never paying more than 200 for hhr, that's about where average Chicago hhr rates start. So basically travel expenses too high and us guys won't pay their prices. Certainly the travel costs are an even bigger problem now with gas 50% higher than last year, and you're right about motel prices being outrageous. Even lower end dumps like Motel 6 will run over 100 a night.

I'd have a no problem paying 200 for a half hour for an attractive, clean provider, and I'm guessing so would most others here. What I hear people say is that they refuse to pay 200 per half hour for the crackheads and blobs of tallow who post on STG and ask that much, and I agree. I wouldn't want most of them if they were free.

That being said, if a girl can get the same staying in Chicago or wherever else with an active scene, there isn't much of an incentive to travel unless the market there is saturated by competition.
