I've been chatting with this one, she's willing to come to DC but I thought I'd do my homework first and found this post. Something tells me there is more to the story. LOL.

"This crap" only happens because dudes fall for it, and do so on such a LARGE scale that it is highly profitable. I have seen numerous guys get scammed because they are ignorant of the first rule of online dating - NO MONEY UPFRONT! Walking around with your bank account in your pocket or hand sure makes it easy for funds to flow out to a scam or whatever. Oh, I get it as I have been tempted and have lost funds when IRL girls wandered off with the money: instead of getting the room they disappear out the back entrance. So I get why so many guys end up learning "experientially" rather than from the foibles of others.

But hey, what I don't get is those that get so frustrated at what they say is a high level of "crap" on these sites. Oh sure there are plenty to be avoided, but with some experience I am able to avoid most of it and not waste time. I mean I looked at a "new" website the other day and quickly concluded from just a scan of the pics that 95% of the adverts were fake or out of the area scams. Just for giggles I opened a few and did my DD and sure enough that was true. All scams.

So I guess for me experience is the key to avoiding most of the "crap" out there. Oh I get it, see a lot of dudes who think escorts, SBs, hookers, etc ought to run things like a bidness and get upset when they don't. Some appear to think any and all adverts should be real and don't understand the necessity to learn to do due diligence. So yeah in the past I got upset over "this crap" but with time was able to recognize and avoid most of it, then patiently deal with the rest.

So now, I just realize there are few times when I can go online and instantly find an employee, rather am resigned to a long-game and continued contacts with the good ones. Everyone develops their own style and comfort zone and often it takes time to get there. Be patient with the process and have fun on the journey!

Can you give us an idea of your techniques? I likely won't go this way, as I have a SO, and this seems a little too risky. However, there are postings on this periodically. I have also been told by POTs that they have had past arrangements that arose in just this way. When I am out and about in the world, I definitely see girls who I expect could be candidates to be SBs, but haven't ever tried them.

Honestly, I'm always fascinated that these girls still think you're a sugar daddy when you take them to a low-end hotel. I really a hotel snob, so maybe that's just my own issue. If I can't call for room service, it's just not a place I'd stay. JW Marriott, anyone? LOL.

If I were a girl I wouldn't want to go to a low end motel either. My usual go to is a 4 or 5 star. But some girls, like this one, would probably be ok with a car date. I guess that is OK, but I just recommend not doing anything at all on the site that is against their TOS. Even if you don't get reported by the girl, they could stumble on what you've done and ban you. It is a super big pain to get banned, it is in many cases impossible to resurrect an account without divulging more than anyone would reasonably want to. You can also have trouble setting up a new account. There are message threads here about all the hoops you must jump through. Best advice is never to do anything that would get you banned.

I never ever report a girl who might do something I don't like or which violates site rules. I just block her and move on. If you report something, the mods on SA look at you too. That could get you in trouble.

I block a girl after we've done our first FC, first taking a screen shot of her profile and saving her pics. A little insurance for the future, just in case. That also permits me to be back on the site to scan for other girls without her knowing. Some girls might be offended by that.

The downside to blocking is that it becomes a pain to keep track of what they are up to afterwards. I keep a second profile for occasionally seeing who has blocked me but it is a pain to log out, change IP address then log in only to reverse the process shortly afterwards. I generally keep most info about my profile hidden in the settings but I am guessing that after you message them, they can always see you in search. I wish there was a way to counteract that.

I too keep a second profile. Switching between accounts is actually easy. Just use a different browser! Different browser means different tracking cookies. The only time I've noticed SA pays attention to IP is when an account is first created. Hasn't been an issue once the account is active.

I block someone after I've met them and gotten to the FC. I can claim I'm off the site but I can still monitor her activity from my other account. I just make sure my main profile isn't searchable otherwise I'll still show up in a search that she might do but then show profile unavailable and that could lead to additional questions.

100% agreed, Bam. I also had two profiles, using only one at a time paid up. However, I got one of them banned b / c of 'photo not of person'. IDK if it was the girl or the mods, but I had sent my real photo to her through the message feature. Even though my profile pics don't have a full face (and they're not really of me), it doesn't matter if they are 'proof' - once they decide to ban you for this, the only way to get back on is send a selfie w / your driver's license. No way Jose.

You are also like me in keeping profile information mostly hidden, and I have my whole profile hidden from search. It cuts out the spam messages from foreign lands. But as you say, once I visit a girls page, she can see my profile from then on.
