Messaged a girl asking for rates and next thing I know I'm being threaten by someone with a completely different phone number saying I didn't show up for an appointment. Seems fishy to me but idk they sound pretty convincing.

So long as you didn't provide any personal information such as your selfie and work-badge or other such self-identifying info probably nothing will come of it. This is why you proide "screening" info at your own risk. Can't believe the kind of info some girls ask for, and evidently some guys are willing to give.

Although I haven't personally experienced it, previously I've read some reports on the forum about scams like that or a similar type. A few even involved sending gruesome images to mongers. However, none of the posters reported any real-life harms, so I would just ignore it.
