Yeah, I think the key here is if you want to pull out the tripod / DSLR, then either discuss it before hand, or do it on a 2nd visit after you've built some cred with them.

You could use the initial visit to gauge their interest and see if they'll let you use a your cell on that visit. Then if you like them for a 2nd, just text them that you want to see them again, and let them know how hot it was to record the session but the cell phone just didn't do them justice and you want to bring a nicer camera. The most likely worst case scenario? The agency uses Google on a standard web browser to confirm your verification info. A month later, or 6 months later, it doesn't matter, but in the future LEO gets wind of them and decides to shut it down like they did GC or some of the other high end agencies from a few years ago. They take the computer during the raid, and their IT department just pulls down the web form cookies saved by their browser when they googled. That's assuming they aren't being super dumb and saving the info onto a spreadsheet, saving the LEO IT guys even the trouble of needing to pull the data from temp files. That's assuming they also just don't write that shit down on a notepad and throw the notepad into a drawer.

Anyways, if it's an election year now the DA has potentially hundreds of names to comb through for prosecution to pad his re-election.
