Anyone can go rip a picture of someones head executed off the internet. I would ignore it. Unless your friend is an idiot and used his real name and number with the provider then I would be a little concerned.

Tell him ignore it. If he gives them money they will ask for more money, just ignore it. They won't do anything. Start using burner numbers as point of contacting.
