The feedback I'm getting is that the streets is more dangerous then ever before. It's crazy, when I drive around I see so many memorials and posters for missing people.

Almost every girl I know tells me stories how they be just walking on a corner just after shopping and the next thing you know, "pop pop" and they know someone got hit but they don't look and just hope they don't get hit or how they seen people get shot and killed right in front of them. The girls now don't like to be out because it's so dangerous. They work enough to get what they need, go shopping, then go home if they have shelter. They also work the phone to stay off the streets.

Saw a documentary about homicide detectives and they said that the street prostitute is like the canary in a coal mine in that the street prostitute sees everything and they know who all the players are and if they start getting killed or they start to say the streets are dangerous then heed the warning! I'm not worried about LE, I'm worried about random shootings. Your biggest problem is just a random nut getting upset you're not driving fast enough or something and the next and last thing you see is muzzle flash.

As far as SW getting locked up, if it's true, good. I say that because getting locked up is the only thing that will save them because if they didn't get locked up they would run themselves 6 ft into the ground. Some girls do take the help when they get locked up which is which we all should be rooting for.

In my opinion, I think the main reason they do a sting on SW in Philly is just to identify them and know who's out there in case a body turns up and they need to know who it is. Maybe also to check for warrants. Maybe also to check if they are being trafficked.

I haven't heard of any johns being locked up unless they have other criminal histories. Please correct me if you know anything different.

Property values and development in Fishtown / Port Richmond have gone crazy. And the new inhabitants make constant complaints about the drugs and prostitution, stings for girls and Johns is just what happens.

The police do not give a shit about who the girls are, or who has warrants. They could clear every street corner and half the people would have warrants, at any time on any day. These busts are just a show for the neighborhood associations, and true the guys might eventually get the charges dropped, but who wants to risk that?

Trust me it's happened recently, guys locked up after getting stopped picking up near Huntingdon. I saw videos from one of the Fishtown Facebook groups, prob 2 weeks ago. Heard they grabbed most of the girls the night before.

All the press is that the change at the top of the District Attorney's office a while back meant that the small misdemeanor crimes were not going to be prosecuted, all in the name of equity (whatever the hell that means). It was like saying, Prostitution is now legal if the cops were going to look the other direction.

Philadelphia experienced one of its worst crime waves in 2021, murders, car jackings and violent crime hit all time highs. With limited resources, it makes no sense that they would target street prostitution as a priority. Maybe an arrest or two for a particular neighborhood as a political gesture to those neighborhood crime watch committees but nothing of real concern.

Still, I wouldn't tempt fate by scooping in an obvious way but unless someone knows something specific, I question its validity.

I have some dealings delivering food and clothing for distribution in Kensington. Volunteers are currently working to get a bunch of people bailed out, as they're withdrawing while in lockup and it's a mess. At least that's the story I hear.
