Rode thru on Thursday night during the light rain. Saw a couple girls out but none that I would pick up. I was watching Streets of Philadelphia Kensington Ave Documentary Feb 8 2022 and I saw two decent looking girls, a non-white with her hair in a back top bun and a white with long straight blond hair. As I can get mugged by walking in that area, and since anybody who is driving a car or truck can get shot while stuck in traffic at a red light, would it be safer to approach these two girls on a bike, scooter or motorcycle? - at least you can zigzag around cars and even run a red light quickly if you spot trouble. A bike, scooter, or motorcycle are just things that can be taken from you. What happens when someone shoves you and you're straddling a bike? You go over. IMO you're way, way safer in your car.

If you're out of the car you want as little of value visible. And if you're in the car, doors are locked until you need them to be unlocked. No wallet or credit cards around, phone in a front pocket, enough cash to do what you need in another pocket. I usually have some Narcan, but that's just me. There are a hundred ways to do it wrong, and the only foolproof thing is to stay home and jerk off. You just take as little risk as possible.

This made me laugh, and I appreciated the honesty. As a monger of 15 years, I have been all over the northeast, Chicago, Florida, and Tx but have to say tonight's trip down Kensington didn't disappoint. I took the chance with out of state plates and drove the area for about 30 mine at 8:30 pm and counted, and I am not exaggerating, 18 different working girls from Kens and Buckius down to Tioga and some of the side streets. Dude, you can come up with all kinds of ideas, but the bottom line is you can't beat the street. It knows all and sees all. With what you suggested you are just a mark on scooter, motorcycle or bike. Never discount the danger or think you can beat it. You can't. You can mitigate some of the risk, but not eliminate it.

Read some of Gator145's post over the last 6+months on this thread for some education and eye opening.

I'm going to say that if you aren't completely familiar with the area and what's going on, you should not be walking around Kensington. Even a sharp dude on full alert is at risk because he doesn't know the area. Hell I'm from Philly, and know the area better than the average guy, and I don't walk around any longer than absolutely necessary, and that's after scoping out what I'm doing. Simply put, if you aren't a dealer or a user, or a cop, you're a dude walking around waiting to get robbed.
