So I'm a bit unclear on how these stings go down. I was always under the assumption that you had to show up at the location and literally pull out the $$$ before they could arrest you. You're post suggest that all you have to do is make contact and you've committed a crime and thus they might actually show up at your doorstep and site you. This doesn't sound like something they could make stick and thus would they really pursue someone for simply calling or texting a number. Thoughts?

Also, people using burners. I've found that texting or calling one of these questionable STG post usually results in no response or unanswered call. Has anyone else noticed this?

So I have watched several news clips and you can hear the pigs using what I have now discovered to be twilio discussing when someones using their real number, their profession, etc etc. I do believe they focus their efforts on the dumbasses using their real number as well as those using an app who are not careful. Remember, the new law now reads "implicit or explicit," which means they are using that it is implied what the decoy is offering solely because it is "on a site known for prostitution" as the pigs say. unless you are specific you are looking for otherwise, this is what legally allows them to swarm and detain. they also track guys on their cellphones who use their real numbers. If your chatlog is incriminating you are arrested, if not you are detained and they try to get you to talk. The only way to shield ourselves is to be specific in your text thread, like I am, "I am not looking for anything illegal, we are both adults and getting to know each other. " but you are right, I think they go for the low hanging fruit and go for the idiots who use their real number. Its much quicker, and youd be amazed how many dumbasses use their real number.

This is bullshit but somehow it can be used against you as evidence in court unless youre specific about what youre looking for. ive seen business advertisements such as lawnmowing on that site, which in my book, thats a social networking site. its online dating . which is what im specific that thats what im looking for in my text threads to shield myself from wrongful arrest if there is that .00001 percent chance that a real ho is working for the pigs.

With the apps, they need to go to a judge and get a warrant to even find out where the thing is coming from, which unless youre doing something highly illegal, youre fine. if youre texting an ad and realize its a sting and youre on an app, block and burn the number, youre fine. they arent going to spend thousands to recover it for a flimsy attempt at a conviction to maybe get 500 out of you. one of the seniors out in Youngstown has texted several of their sting ads and hes been fine, he has been supplying the board with pictures of the fake women that they send him before he blocks them. use a protonmail email address, swiss server, for added protection.

If you have an incriminating chat log and are using your real number, not that they would show up because that would be too much work and would never stick, but your chat log would be in their database with your real information. You don't want that. Don't respond to their ads, and if youre going to, make damn sure youre not using your real number.

Tried calling thinking it was another sting ad. Phone rings to voicemail, and then the girl (in the ad?) gives another number to call. Called that number, and then another woman (familiar with the game, but not in the ad) says she's asked the girl in the ad to take her number off the voicemail, but she hasn't.

Imagine the out of towners they will ensnare. There was a guy they caught out east in columbiana county I follow the cases out there who was from Delaware. One of my good friends who is a public prosecutor in berea m. C. Has been asked to work this weekend. He was supposed to come with us for lunch but cancelled. I didn't ask why (not my business) but he said this was unusual even for him.

This is how I see the sting results before the news article even is announced. Keep an eye on berea municipal court as it looks like that's where the ad was posted where the cases will ensue after the arrests stem from the ads. Just search for the court dates in that feature and set them to dates around this week and click on all of the cases under "CR" and see if any say "engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. " I'm currently sleuthing for other sting ads as well as there were definitely others up that are now on sumosear to see what municipal court of which the cases from the arrests might end up in. If this is indeed one of yosts big stings remember, the good guys (men attempting to meet women) will be booked at the police station or the hotel / incall processing room and released. The bad guys (if there were any scumbag stings being ran at the same time) will end up in orange in the county jail.

There is another way a guy caught in a good guy sting could end up in orange instead of being processed and released and that's if they brought hard drugs. If anyone knows of a roster sheet for cuyahoga, which I have been unable to find, let me know. Also do remember they could be just putting out a worm in preparation for an even larger turnout for their sting. But these are definitely sting ads.
