I got a very odd and scary few texts last night. It was from a guy who said his name was Pablo D. And they we was the owner of the brothel and that the girls said I shorted them money and he wanted me to pay up or he was going to send his guys to my address and basically make my family pay. The number was a 559 area code. Now I have never texted and out of area number until Saturday. I got curious and texted on of those Asian ads on STG. I never set anything up, I just asked a few basic questions. That's the only thing I can think of. Anyways it kind of shook me for a few minutes. I use a burner number and I'm not worried but I blocked the number after they tried calling me. I'm sure it's a scam but has anyone had this happen to them? Just curious about anyone else having experiences like this. Only going to text local girls from now on. Learned my lesson. Pm me if you want to see the full number the guy used.

This is most definitely a scam. Sometimes, although not often, if you "waste the girl's time" by ghosting them or start to set something up but don't follow through, they'll attempt to get their money via other means. They can use your number to check databases to attempt to find your name and address if you don't use a burner phone, so it's good that you didn't. My advice is to never use your permanent phone and to only reach out when you want to meet. Unfortunately, some are going to think you're wasting their time no matter what you do, so always be careful.

I got a call last summer from the us marshal service western KY. The number was legit when I called it back. He claimed I solicited a minor for sex on an escort site.
