I think it has more to do with the area being one of the safer parts of the city. Also, the area is more well-off than a lot of other parts of the city, ie $$. I don't think MMS / PPS is doing market research on mongers in this fine city, haha. But, common sense says the area is probably better to operate in compared to some other areas. If you build it, they will come.

This area has a good number of spas. Relax is on Ashland towards diversey, then you have new hope in Lincoln. Belmont and princesa on Belmont. Go west on Belmont and you have od and why spa. Also north on Ashland you have natural healers and then 2 spas by grace and Ashland. Not to mention the ones already named in both directions in clybourn.
