It's not that bad a spot, but going into an unknown house has its inherent risks. As a semi local, I'd engage spidey sense.

I checked google street view and the house has 3 signs posted around the front door. A No Trespassing sign. A No Loitering sign police enforced, and a sign that I think refers to video surveillance. And not that it matters, but the house next door is a recovery house. Streetview pic shows 3 people hanging outside front door of the recovery house. Pic was from Nov 2000.
