With the clear night I decided to go out for a bit and see what I might find. Plenty of girls out, mostly from 137th down to the motels. I just couldn't really find any who appealed to me. So tonight I actually had the fleeting thought of trying to go covered just to see what she's like. But then I remembered that I didn't have any condoms and whenever I do use them, I like to use certain brands. I didn't want to leave it up to her to supply one because often their options suck. So I talked myself out of it. It's hard to go on a description here, but anyone ever date her? She's from southern California but been up here for probably almost a year now. Told me she was 20, glasses, thin spinner body, nice brown skin, usually longer dark hair (probably a wig). Against my better judgement, I think the time is coming when I'll pull the trigger.

That combination involves the overall feeling of the street-hustle, limited service, overall lack of connection. Try as I have been, I'm just not feeling it with these huslter girls from California since 2020. Something about it is just off and I've been unable to verbally describe nor articulate it in the same way that I'm feeling it whenever I'm out there. Just not the same anymore.

Your last sentence really says it all, ST. It's not the same, and will likely never be. On top of it all, we now have the entire North Precinct either parked or cruising around out there. It makes me skittish and unsure also, which I've never been until recently. Limited service and stratospheric rates only reinforce my reluctance to even bother burning fuel anymore.

Wow, that's a different case than the one I recall. From what I remember, the incident to which I referred happened in Seattle area, I think a casino up in Skagit county. But I'm not surprised that another case very similar to this one also occurred.

This just brings up a series of questions in my mind. For instance, out on the stroll we're all pretty much transporting the girls. So Hypothetically, if one of us brings her back out to the stroll after our date, are we committing a felony? We all know in our minds that she'll be working out there. She might not have an actual date set-up yet, but we know that at some point after we drop her that she will have another date. So, theoretically, we're assisting in her quest to commit sex work. I wonder where that boundary exists. In this current political climate of prosecutors focusing on johns, I'm wondering if this might be pursued at some point. I could see this being an option particularly in the case where an underage SW is involved.

Hell, I don't know, just thinking out loud here. The bottom-line is that john busts out on Aurora are coming, I think they're just formulating how they're going to go about it. The above just seems like another charge to throw at the wall.

Your recollection was right that she ratted him out immediately, but the Washington DA ended up pressing for trafficking charges because he drove her across state lines to commit a felony. He admitted that he knew what she was doing in the casino. That's what got him busted. He admitted what her intentions were plus he drove her across state lines. That's the double whammy that got him convicted. Was like 7 years or something if I remember right.

I don't think the police really care about your car, honestly. If it's a nice ride, they might look at it more than others, but other than that I don't think they'll really care.

Generally, SPD aren't really busting anyone right now. I'm not sure when that's going to change, but at some point it will. They're a presence because businesses and residents want them to be, and they move around as a form of deterrence. The girls are used to them being there and continue to keep doing what they do. That being said, I have seen moments over the past year when SPD did stop a guy after picking a girl up. It's typically not until after she gets in the car, and she'll come to your window to ask if you have a certain amount of money before she gets in. Traditionally this has been bad form, but all of the girls are doing it now so it'll be hard to get a date without talking to her through the window. Just know that this is how police stings operate, the girl talks at you through the window. The difference is that an undercover will pressure you immediately to agree to a sex act for money. She'll signal and the police will pounce. Most girls out there right now are only asking how much money you have and if you have what they're looking for, she'll get in. There's nothing illegal about that, but when I've seen guys get stopped it's always been right after the pick-up. I don't know if there's much to go on, but they'll separate the both of you and because the girl doesn't know you and doesn't care about you, she'll tell the police whatever they want to hear so she can get back out to make some money. You'll be stuck holding the bag in front of god and everyone for probably a long time until they either cite you or let you go. It's not very common and probably not likely to happen to you, but that's how I've seen it go down since 2020 up to now.

That being said, I'm just not comfortable talking to a girl, much less picking her up, in front of police. I just don't want them to know 100% that I'm out there picking-up girls. That could make me a target for a later date. But I'm also not the type to pick-up an SW in front of a lot of regular pedestrians or traffic. That's just me.

So in short, you'll probably be fine. Just be as clandestine as possible and remember. The girls know that the police nor the city prosecutors are after them anymore, they're after the johns. Because of that, they don't care if you feel uncomfortable while they solicit in front of police. The other warning I'll give is that there seems to be a rise in underage girls out there, so you'll want to be careful with that.

I seen a couple cars stopping and talking to the girl right in front of the cops like they weren't there. I would never pick up a SW way too much can go wrong. She could have drugs and plant them in your car if you get stopped that's on you. Car dates are a no no for me as well. If you get caught in the act you just elevated it to lewd public conduct which is much more serious. Could be a set up for a rob as well. Not to mention could be a cop you are talking to through the window. I would imagine there are unmarked police cars around the area so even if it "looks clear". Even if there is "NO DEAL" police could attempt to charge you with "Intent to commit the act of engaging in prostitution". If you have no business to be in the area.

Police are pretty good at coming up with charges, even if they don't stick, an arrest can destroy you life as you know it.

I am not in Seattle yet moving there next month. Right now where I am police are doing stings 7 days a week. They are getting very sneaky in their attempts to bust guys including using photos and ads from well known providers and putting in a sentence "I got a new number guys, call me here XXXXXXXXXXXX" . The police seem to really be focusing on the purchase now more than the act of selling, so don't think if they put pressure on the girl she would give you up in 1 second flat.

But engaging in promotion of prostitution is a class B felony, punishable by a fine of up to $20,000 and / or up to 10 years in prison. Pimping is obviously considered promotion of prostitution, but any act that furthers or advances prostitution can also be classified as "promotion"; the relationship between the sex worker and others who get a cut of the proceeds, or otherwise benefit from prostitution, doesn't have to be a coercive one. If memory serves, this was one of many charges against the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen from TRB. Prosecutors argued that positive reviews / recommendations fit within the definition of promoting prostitution

As of this past September, it's actually a felony to solicit a prostitute in Texas. Not sure how many they've actually prosecuted thus far, though. With everything else going on in that state, I'm wondering when conservatives will make it illegal to have sex outside of marriage at all down there. Ah, Texas.

A friend of mine in Dallas got into a HUGE amount of trouble around 2003 or so. He picked up a SW and while on the way to a motel he already had set aside he got stopped by the police. Of course during the course of the interview none of the stories matched up so he was sinking on the Titanic. To make matters worse, when uncle LEO was not looking she took a small baggie containing a white powder and put it in his armrest. When police searched his vehicle HE got taken down town for it. Took him two years to clean it up and close to $20,000 in attorney fees, but the damage had been done. Job lost, wife lost, kids would not speak to him (to this day) and he has never recovered financially or professionally.
