Anyone could have picked up your lost credit cards and license. . .
Deal with the situation as if that is what happened.

Some advice you'll get is to just block and ignore, because a decent percentage of this never comes to fruition. Because they know once they go nuclear and contact a family member, no money will be forthcoming in any event. The ones who do that really feel wronged, vs merely out for money.

Do I know for a fact that there is no way this is a real one? No. But if you only focus on much more obviously real ones you'll have a much better experience here. And this applies whether you're into the totally amateur college / grad student / young professionals, or the pro's who 'advertise' themselves on SA.

Posts: 702Do you have a wife / gf that you want to keep this from? Most of the strategy branches off of that.

Any good advice. Don't hesitate, PM me.
I am really thinking to going to the Police and report. Maybe get a lawyer as well?

Posts: 702I'm afraid that what she thinks is that having stolen your license she's in a position of power to extort some money out of you. She's likely dumb enough to include a strategy of accusing you of getting her alcohol being underage, but that won't be the all of it.

Posts: 122I'm confused by this. So the hotel bar checked her ID and they still serve her. That's not your fault! You need to call her back or trace her phone number and tell her to get your Driver License back. If she want to extort you, call the police. Record the phone convo.

Posts: 600Where the hell do you find these people? A girl from Dorchester is asking for over 1 K? I guarantee she won't even do 3/4 of the things you want her to do. It's a bad deal and she knows it. She's just trying to find the right sucker to open their wallets. You'll make her day for sure. High pay and no work.

Posts: 257Ha, no idea what she thinks. I mean, the bar guy checked her ID, I also asked her how old she is. And she didn't look under 21 for sure.

She is still active. Curious if you used a burner phone and if you have an SO I think things are way more complex than if you don't. Also her profile says she is 21 and if she drank at the bar she used a fake ID if she is under 21.
