I think with STG you encounter quite a few people with "issues" and they just want to make sure they get something. As an example, I contacted one. Her ad said $200 for 30 minutes. I contacted her and told her that I wanted 30 minutes, she said, "Okay, but I'm not doing it for less than $150. " So, I show up for the date with $150 (actually $200 but only $150 in my hand) and before she takes the money she says, "it's $125 for 30 minutes. So, I gave her $130. So, within 2 hours and me not saying a word about payment, she low balled herself down $75 (I was ready and more than willing to pay the $200).

I think she just wanted money right away and thought I would walk if she asked the rate she posted in the ad. At any point, it was definitely a $130 experience, so I couldn't complain but I would have felt a little cheated if I had paid $200 for it.
