It seems like you may be confusing Ultraviolet (UV) with Infrared (IR). The IR-A band (700-1400 nm wavelength) is used all the time in night vision applications, including surveillance.

Modern digital photosensors are broad-spectrum, and can't actually record color on their own; specific applications often use optical band filters to optimize performance and minimize unintended effects. For example, visible-light photography cameras like what you'd find in a smartphone uses a Bayer filter which passes patterns of very narrow bandwidths of light, such as red, blue and green, through to the underlying filter. Ideally this would be fully opaque to anything outside it's band, including IR-A and UV-A (black light), and it often is on more modern and expensive cameras. Cameras that are designed for night vision surveillance would obviously not be filtered in the same way.

TL; DR: The newer and more expensive your smartphone is, the worse it is at detecting infrared light.

I just read the thread as well. It looks like a police report was filed, a report was made to Human Trafficking, and I think they were reported for not having a massage license. Even though it may not be a high priority with LEO, I'm staying away.

Thanks for the feedback. Different cultures. My friend was not really bothered just found it a little alarming. Had not even crossed his mind. Yes, I'm a little old fashioned hence the post. I know a lot of them support family back home. I guess marriage in China is more of business arrangement and WeChat. JJ.

I know of one place where the owner of the spa is a man and his wife works at the spa. I don't know what she provides because I always see the other girl that works there, but I would guess at least a handy.

So here's a news flash for you, it is not uncommon their culture is definitely different from ours as we know it. Is your friend bothered by it?

Is she telling him he is the only one?

I have known more than one that were married and ready to have a relationship with me and get divorced from the husband still at home, ie. China or where ever. One was very attractive and married for several years and had been here for about 5 years, she said they are not getting along well, her husband was in Hong Kong still, how is that a marriage by our standards? For them to get the needed paperwork to get here majority are claiming married to get that "tourist visa" which is good for a 6 month visit which of course of when they find the man they want get divorced, and don't return, news flash, they never had plans to return. And some are not married just "claim" to be to get the visa approval.

I have more than one regular that comes to stay with me overnight and I know what goes on at some of these places. Do I think for a minutes I am the only one getting the goods, no.

Difference is I'm not paying a dime other than the gas in my rig to get them, they cook for me, take me out to eat and more and of course I treat them like they are the only one as well.

If he wants fun go to the AMP, if he wants a solid loyal woman go shopping at the asian markets and eat at asian restaurants.

I understand this is in the wrong direction for you, but the lady there is pleasant, does an excellent detailed massage. It's in a two story office building. Name of the business is Mandarin.
