Looking at the guy's post history and the way the post is worded, it's clear that he making stuff up and is using the accusation as a way to get back at Macie. He probably tried to post the same BS on TER, got banned, and ended up posting on reddit because he doesn't know where else to post it.

He didn't mention her name at all publicly. I sent him a PM after he made his post to ask who it was. Nothing about his post history suggested to me he was a troll. I don't want to get in trouble again for talking about this LOL but needed to clarify that he didn't name her in his post, even before he had deleted it.

You're wrong. Use of the anti-retroviral drugs for prevention is known as PrEP and it's not that uncommon. I don't know a lot about it, but as I recall, the dose for prevention is less than the dose for treatment. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-exposure_prophylaxis.

I could be wrong but I've heard some people who think might have been infected can take HIV as prevention measure but for a short period of time but it has to be within a day or 2 of suspected infection. The resin behind is to block receptors from the beginning. But nobody takes HIV medicine as "prevention" . It has a lot of side effects, people who take it have to have regular check ups for pancreas, liver, etc through blood tests. Moreover, insurance won't cover it if it's for long term use for "prevention" . I'm not a doctor and I've never had STD's in my life, but I have some friends who work in the pharmaceutical and medical field.

Anyway, it's always good idea to wear a condom, nothing is 100% safe (only celibacy) but condoms may help reduce the risk.

You have it backwards- Prep is a drug for prevention for people who are high risk not as an emergency treatment.
