The "verification" process was basically a variation of the classic SW "I'll show you mine, you show me yours" routine on video call, and then switched to a regular phone call. No additional identifying info exchanged other than the phone numbers we already had for each other. IMHO it wouldn't be in a provider's interest to record and try to use against me, as I am 100% capable of doing the same, and Uncle LEO gets way more upset about his nieces fooling around than his nephews. I did not see it as surrendering the upper hand.
