The "verification" process was basically a variation of the classic SW "I'll show you mine, you show me yours" routine on video call, and then switched to a regular phone call. No additional identifying info exchanged other than the phone numbers we already had for each other. IMHO it wouldn't be in a provider's interest to record and try to use against me, as I am 100% capable of doing the same, and Uncle LEO gets way more upset about his nieces fooling around than his nephews. I did not see it as surrendering the upper hand.

The fact that the provider already had a number of reviews here and no warnings of scams or other unpleasantness is what tipped the scales in her favor, otherwise I may not have gone for it either.

Seems to be some discussion on this. Video verification (facetime, google duo. Etc.) for me is helpful to prove provider and her pics are real and what you like or want and can get a quick view of incall room if desired. Do or say nothing incriminating if you fear it being recorded. Let them go first for any showing of body parts for LEO check. As far as blackmail fear. How close you ever check the room for hidden cameras if a provider wants to go that way? Anyway. Always be cautious and have antennae up. But I'm OK for facetime or google duo quick verification. But before I will do that, I've already vetted the provider out from this forum or other reviews. In the end, be cautious and follow your instincts. But I do not reject solely based on video verification request.

I was seriously considering meeting with her given the lack of talent in the area, at least spinner type & younger. By the time you find out that your Snap has been captured and stored, it's too late to change your mind. Also, there are ways of capturing a snap without informing the sender, such as using another phone, or using a screen mirror app (MiraCast) to a different device.
