I realized after I posted, that I was going to have to do something to change the order of things. I'm thinking that they're probably going to balk at doing shopping afterwards, saying that I could back out, and they actually have a good point. Strictly my opinion.

Shopping sprees are for the ones you know and are familiar. I would change the order of events. Dinner, fun in the room, then the shopping spree. Otherwise, there's too much that can go wrong because your plan gives them advantages and control. Their message of not wanting to "feel like hookers" is a diversion. Be wary of their larger plan.
