Not only is stating karma doesn't exist an entirely unecessary comment for the purpose of the discussions in this thread, but doubling down on it as a definitive truth is equally ridiculous. As the OP said, "depending on your beliefs". The statement "karma does not exist" is not a fact. Not logically or scientifically. Simply because a negative cannot be proven, this is a basic rule of physics, as well as science in general. Of course there are exceptions when very specific rules exist, especially physical rules (such as there is no water in a empty glass). But something like karma could only be proven TO exist, it cannot be proven that it does not exist. Following all rules of logic and science it is not possible to prove karma doe not exist, whether you are a believer or not. Conversly, you could give reasons as to why you BELIEVE that karma does or does not exist, but this is not proof of the absence of karma. This is one of the first things they teach you in defense law as well. In most cases, you cannot prove someone did NOT do something; you can only prove that said person DID do something. Everything else is / should be left to reasonable doubt. Reasonable doubt does not equal untrue, it is just the absense of proof.

A perfect example is the statement you made about fairies not existing. You (nor anyone else) can prove fairies do not exist, there is only the absense of proof that makes it reasonable to BELIEVE they do not exist.
