Wow. Thank you for taking the time to write all that! I've responded to a couple PMs with tips and don't feel quite so awkward any more!

1) I'm a pleaser so I'm guessing I will be tempted to fall in love. Will probably be a real fight for me. I know that for strippers. I heard that most strippers despise the men in the club.

Welcome to the board, this place is filled with some awesome guys and some real asshats. That being said, take everything you read on here with a very large grain of salt including what I say! If you don't know what that means, then just be skeptical! Also, sounds like you may be pining over some lost love? So my first recomendation is NEVER fall in love with a provider. 99.99% of mongers have done this to some degree or another. All it does is breaks your heart and wallet. I have, on multiple occasions fallen in love with a provider, that's how dumb I am, and I know better! So its easy to convice yourself that she likes you. She likes your money! I think there are providers with heart, meaning that they are good people, but remember, this is a job for them. You don't fall in love with your work at the sacrifice of your self or money do you? Hope not! Whats your budget? Do you have a preference of lady types (eg. Asian, AA, latina)? You can get plenty of info by reading the boards as other mongers have posted. If your not in a rush read the boards for awhile and you will see a pattern develop. I'm a relative noob myself. In addition to what the others have said, I would add….

Do your research, follow the boards, take your time, be SMART (listen to your big head, not the little one), put your timidity aside and jump in.

If you reach out to providers, you can always terminate the discussion or back out if it makes you feel uncomfortable for whatever reason.

This likely will be a progressive and spendy learning experience. For everyone. It's kind of like gambling. If you can't afford to lose your stake without a HE every time, get out of the game.

Use the search function for the subthreads, they'll be your best friend when trying to find something that you're searching for. Or you could browse the girls on various sites and if one catches your eye type her name in the search bar. There is a lot of info on here.

You said you've read the forums, great. In reading the forums, find what suits you and take a shot. I think we have all had a sour experience here and there. My first HE was quite a let down (and I really overpaid). But now I know.
