I know we're not supposed to feed the trolls, but every once in a while I just feel like doing some sport fishing. Watching them spiral out of control, I can almost see the foam around their mouths, or their head explode like Scanners.
After all, this is the Rant Raves and Stupid Shit in Seattle thread.
I'll show myself out now.

Posts: 1358Just to lighten things up, Cobra Kai Season 4 will drop on Netflix on New Years Eve. Terry Silver appears to help John Krease. Wonder if he'll go after Danial LaRusso?

Posts: 14Hate to say it, but this is looking like Foghorn Leghorn antagonizing the dog, running away laughing, and the dog falling for it every time.

What you should do: For those of you who post legit rants, someone create a new forum, with a decoy name. Just don't tell him about it, and he won't figure it out.

Posts: 135Asian, white & Dennis Rodman
I would just like to add I knew a beautiful white lady that duo'd with a beautiful Asian, it was all I could do in my prime to stay at attention to not bore them for our 2 hour visits. We met 3 or 4 times in the 90's.

I also saw Rodman play with the Bulls in person at a court side seat. He was incredible the way he would tip a rebound several times to himself until he could fully control the ball. He was impressive on tv however in person it was mesmerizing to watch (even though I thought he was a goon and crazy). Well the ladies I knew also met Rodman once in Vegas, from their comments and our conversation Rodman wasn't only skilled on the basketball court and played a full court press when they saw him. I once asked what my "Rodman score" was, after we all stopped laughing we tried another round.
So as f'. In crazy as you are Dennis I respect your rebounding ability. Enough said, jr.

The admin asked us to report his accounts and not respond to the troll. He's escalating his rhetoric, which is an interesting psychological pattern. Just report him and ignore.

I want to add something about what Rex wrote, about parenthood. Had it not been so radical, it probably wouldn't have been read, much less commented on with emotionally-charged responses. I know that Rex took a lot of heat for some of the things that he wrote about parenthood. I want to even the scales a little bit, by pointing out that there is some substance behind what he said. When I used to watch Sex and the City, one common theme I noticed, was that when a woman was over 30, or even 28 or older, and she said that she wasn't married, and / or had no children, the other women would "look like they felt sorry for her. " So, I don't think that he pulled this out of thin air. I know a woman named Erica, who is 44 in 2021, who dated a guy that we both knew. It didn't work out, and they went their separate ways. I know that even when they dated, when she was 32 at the time, she was wanting to get married and start a family. I follow Erica on Facebook, and on Mother's Day 2021, she sounded very down and out, saying, "I've come to the realization, that I will never be a Mom. " I myself am not married, and don't have children. I would welcome that opportunity with the right person, but I'm not losing sleep over it. If it happens, great, if not, it's not the end of the world. But, I've literally seen women in their 20's dreaming about marriage and children, years fly by, they go through their 30's, still not married, and they turn 40, and many of them know that their dreams are dashed. Believe me, the pain I can see in these women, is palpable. Not to sound melodramatic, but it is life and death for a lot of women. Erica laments on Facebook, that if she accepted the marriage proposal of the one man who proposed to her (not our mutual male acquaintance), she would have children, but likely be divorced (because she knew he wasn't lifetime partner material for her). Maybe, she's 90% glad she didn't marry him, but I can tell that at least 10% of her wishes she married him, had children with him, even if that meant she would be a divorced single mother by now.
What I observed from my spot, is different perspectives being shared. I come from a fairly stable family background, so I couldn't directly relate to Jimmysix or The Bobo, but their candid sharing of their family situations was helpful to know, and a good reminder about the psychological effects it can have on the children. I know people whose lives spiraled out of control, after their parents divorced. I can only imagine the anger and bitterness, if a child feels like they were abandoned by one, or even both parents.
While I don't agree with everything that Rex wrote, he shed light on a perspective that I hadn't considered. Maybe this is sexist, but I thought that only women agonized about getting older, and not being able to get married or have children. Maybe, Rex reminds us, that there are men who feel the same way, but so few would be brave enough to share that.
If there is a silver lining to be learned from all of this, it's that Rex made us think about another perspective, and think about another view. That's not always a bad thing.

Posts: 118Doesn't pass the smell test
So you create an account just so you can announce in your 1st post that Rex "passed away" last night.
I have known quite a few people that have died, but in every instance when they have "passed away" it has been from natural causes. Died in sleep, lost cancer battle, etc.
The ones that weren't from natural causes were describe as killed, murdered, or took his own life.
Sorry Rex, I mean Dennis, I'm not buying what you're trying to sell here. If calling someone on their bullshit makes me a bully in your opinion, well that's your opinion. As I have told my children, you have the right to be wrong.

Posts: 96I have an alert? Where?
Long time lurker. First time poster.
On the other board, I have an excellent reputation. Lots of reviews with responses. Lots of references. But I also don't mess around. No fuckery from me.
Recently I scheduled an appointment with a very popular provider for the next morning. It took me four days to schedule because she is so busy. A few hours after scheduling she texts me and says that she has to cancel because she "found an alert. " WTF? I have no alerts. No red jellies. I never even have conflict with providers. Anyone have any idea what this is about or what it might be? Is there some sort of backdoor Underground messaging the providers do about us? Even if she had contacted some of the people I had seen, I doubt anyone would speak poorly of me. I am a super easy appointment for providers. So weird. I don't understand it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Posts: 6Take a look at yourselves in the mirror. Are you proud?
I want all of you to take a look at yourselves in the mirror, and think about ganging up on victim Rex.
I want you to see yourselves in the Bully role, in these movie references:
Much taller Johnny Lawrence, beating up Daniel LaRusso in Karate Kid. Mismatch.
Biff Tannen beating up George McFly in Back to the Future, where Biff is MUCH bigger.
I hate him: Mick, SO much bigger than Scott, in Teenwolf.
The asshole boys on the bicycles in Forrest Gump, chasing down helpless Forrest.
I really hated him too: That bald bully in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Another character asshole: Mike Barnes in Karate Kid III.
All of you are like the taller bully, picking on the little guy.
BTW, never ever mock or LOL when there is talk about somebody taking their life. NEVER. You learn that in middle school.
Take a look at yourselves in the mirror. Are you proud of looking like these above mentioned bullies?
Dennis Rodman, Hater of bullies.

The reason why it pisses me off, how you assholes are bullying poor deceased Rex, is because it brings back images of The Karate Kid to my mind.
Lee Groinman (German-American asshole) beating up poor Rex, makes me think about how MUCH taller Johnny Lawrence beat up poor Daniel Larusso. This was evident on the Halloween fight scene.
Street Troller is acting like Dutch (the biggest asshole bully of the Cobras) who when Daniel is helpless and vulnerable, comes in and knees Daniel.
Why do I hate Lee Groinman, Jimmy Six, and Street Troller? NOBODY roots for Goliath.
I Loved how Dutch was face down on the ground, at the end of the scene.
