I think we all agree that if LE detains you do not say anything without legal council. Miranda rights say: "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at any time".
Which brings me to a bigger question. Does anyone have any experience with legal council that they can recommend if any of us ever get busted? Would not be a bad idea to have an attorney's contact information in your phone if something ever goes wrong during an encounter.
Anyone got a recommendation? Also what was the cost?

Did they run this sting out of an apartment complex? I checked the auditors site doesn't look like they used a land bank owned sting house. Based on my research only addresses in the 300 block of washington ave it could have been were a private citizen owned home and a bunch of apartments. Would be good knowledge for all of us going forward if you know. Thanks brother.

He sang like a canary the day they detained him according to the original article that was posted: "Jessie agreed to speak with detectives without having an attorney present. He admitted he came to the meeting to solicit sex for money, the police report says".

Yea the guys they get the vast majority probably never have any experience with the legal system whatsoever. He wasnt even under arrest probably detained when they told him that and he caved. I'm sure if I was married I'd probably be shitting my pants as well, but not enough to just let all logic go out the window. Key word here is "threaten with arrest. " like man, if you're being threatened with arrest, its a clear indication that you're not under arrest and you probably should be asking if you can leave or speak to an attorney! No common sense by that guy. Absolutely spot on on this Asmoth and thanks for the info.

Then you have guys like myself that walk into every scenario pretending I'm on recording in case it is a sting, were always prepared. They know were too tough to get that's why they focus on the weak minded.

People need to learn that they just need to keep their mouths shut and they will be fine.

The guy might have been an a-hole anyway, from what I heard he was going for 60 bucks worth of sex. I don't think you could get much of an incall for that price.

Posts: 1126Here's the reason I have a problem with police enforcing this law Simp, it is a method to control the public. If it wasnt, theyd focus their efforts on getting actual evil traffickers rather then arresting 160 johns and calling them "traffickers. " look at the poor bastard councilman from Elyria's facebook. This poor guy is made out to be something hes not because the headlines read "human trafficking. " he wasnt even charged under the new law, he got off with only a 3rd degree misdemeanor soliciting and no criminal tools charge which will be reduced very rapidly in court. First what theyre going to do is you can't meet a woman, next theyre going to arrest you for making a call and asking about rates, next step after that, theyre going to require a cop to accompany you on a date with a woman for the first few months to make sure that you won't be exchanging anything. Its a restriction of our freedoms, that's why we must fight back before it gets worse.

Any in call location can get hot quick, mad dealer, mad John, a bored or alert hotel clerk. Most hotels will refuse or look at you very carefully if you live close. I am not sure (ok I know they can't) trespass from every hotel in City. I agree Mr lane change should have remained silent. But I have zero problems with the police, they responded to a call, investigated a crime and made a arrest. This hobby is illegal in most states, that's just the breaks.

Posts: 2332I've never been there before, but isn't the room access from inside the building? Somebody would have to be watching the room from another room or the cctv to see which room someone came from.

Very similar to the tactics they used in the Robert Kraft case. All the guy had to do was keep his mouth shut and take the traffic ticket. Remember- nobody talks, everybody walks.
