Police can detain you briefly while they investigate you, but they have to have reasonable, articulable suspicion that you are committing, have committed, or are about to commit a crime. And for this.

They won't be having cameras in there like Robert Kraft style videos. Even when they did those videos were not allowed in the case. He got away with it.

I also think in Massachusetts they are more likely to reject camera for privacy from what I've read you get fucked if you crack under questioning because then all it takes is masseuse I'd you since you have them important info and those women will I'd you if given a chance to save themselves.

I have no idea what the answer is, but I would think that if they can plausibly claim you are suspected of having committed a crime they can detain you, no? If they have proof (camera in the room) you are fucked anyway (Kraft), but I just worry that stonewalling mixed with a cop having a bad day may end up worse then answering some basic questions, THEN if they start getting intrusive saying "may I leave" may work out better. You look mighty guilty refusing to answer basic questions to a cop. If I were on a jury, and they said that the defendant refused to answer any questions from jump, I would assume they were up to something.
