Can someone with definitive knowledge tell us what you do before and after seeing someone to reduce the chance of catching STD?

I carry alcohol pad and wipe the tip thoroughly afterward, and take a piss. I'm not sure how effective such practice is though.

I'm not a medical professional, but taking antibacterial med before catching something doesn't make sense to me. Prove me wrong though, I just want to be well informed properly.

Shower, mouthwash, pee. Before your appointment, and right after sex. Nothing is 100%, but it reduces risk. Using antibiotics as a prophylactic is not a good idea considering that the most common std's are more of a nuisance than a danger. (to males) Treat them if you get infected, but refrain from consistent use. There are bacterial infections out there that will kill you, and long term antibiotic use can actually weaken your immune system. Save using antibiotics for only when you really need them.

Shower thoroughly before leaving. It's served me well. Try and cum in less than 15-20 minutes.

You are more thorough than me I guess. I come showered, always take the pre-shower and post-shower and take a piss asap after the session.

Cranberry juice, I believe, is good to ward of bladder infections but I haven't read anything about it helping prevent other infections.

General good hygiene and get tested every 6 months. More testing is probably better but that's the frequency I've settled on. I also let my Dr. Know I am sexually active, with multiple partners, which is good for an annual lecture from her.

I haven't taken prep or other meds as preventive measures. I've tested clean for many years and attribute that to my generally good hygiene and also, or perhaps mostly, to the good hygiene of Korean women. If I see a girl who I don't think has good hygiene I may use a cover and certainly wouldn't repeat.

Nah tried everything. Ladies can be asymptomatic and spread it while men will suffer the itch! I know this is the BB forum and I'll cut it short but a good covering is the best. Yes peeing after is crucial as well however will not help. The bacteria is microscopic and finds a speedy track to the inner layer of the urethra.

Like others have said, just take the antibiotics and you'll have nothing to worry about.

A lot more people died from covid last year than any STD. I would be more worried about covid if I am not vaccinated.

I was 12 when the AIDS scare first came out.

Even as old as 24, I worried that I could get an STD from a hand job with an SP. In fact, I didn't kiss an SP until 2001 (Courtney of Seattle) or get BBBJ until 2002 (Katrina of Elliott Bay). Unbelievably, it wasn't until my third BBBJ girl at Elliott Bay, that I wanted BBBJ. My worry? AIDS.

Before I continue: I would never want to pass on any STDs to women, if I had any. Fortunately, I don't.

But, this is relevant to BBFS: I'm hitting my late 40's. If I get an STD, I frankly don't care as much, at this juncture of my life.

If I got an STD at 22-24, it would have been the end of the world for me.

In my late 40's, having accomplished nothing in the Marital or Parental Scoreboard, if I get an STD from an SP, so be it. I'll stop seeing other women, to not infect them, but at this point in my life, what happens to my health, I could frankly give a damn.
