I can't figure out why a subscription $99 costs more than one time $90, seems the same thing to me, both get auto renewal unless one cancels.

Because when you do the One Time payment for 90 days they charge you the full 270 when you sign up. (270/3 months = 90 per month).

And they don't give refunds, so if you get banned at any point you lose all 270. You'd have to go through the hassle of filing a chargeback with your cc company.
