Days Inn in Berlin is discreet and relatively clean, but they don't do short stays. It's nicer than most of the doper infested notels.

Check Priceline too. Sometimes you can get a decent place for just a tick more than a short stay at short notice.

I'm more a fan of lower end chains than short stays. Far less attention from PD due to lack of dopers, and lesser chance of bedbugs or some other nasty thing from the toilet or sheets.
