If they somehow DO contact your family (they won't), it's very easy for anyone with any technical knowhow to spoof your number, especially if they are only sending screenshots (but it's also pretty damned easy to do on their phone as well). If there's no evidence of this hobby on your phone, it's pretty easy to convince people that it's just a new type of scam. But it won't get that far.

I went thru something similar and it sucks. A girl figured out who I really was and attempted to blackmail and extort me. I let her know the penalty for extortion (felony, $10,000 fine per attempt to extort) and she disappeared. Cops won't care about the prostitution part. Extortion is a bigger get. Good luck.
