Be careful with this one. Seemed to check out at first. Made arrangements to meet. She sent me her number which had a 202 area code. I asked if we could move to Snapchat instead but she just re sent the number. I texted her and she offered 500. I countered with 300. She said that was ok. When texting I asked for more pics. And she said "they aren't sending through text" let's move to whatsapp. Which I told her was a red flag but did anyway. She sent similar pics. Then I asked for a selfie with a hand motion to verify. Which she did. Then she asked for me to send an Uber. There's a scam out there where they ask the driver to change the destination and you're hit with the bill. Between the two red flags I said I would have to think about it. She also used the word "bruhhh" a few times and joked once she was a dude. Not worth the risk. Maybe she's legit and cautious? I can respect that, but not going to find out the hard way when I can find someone else.

Dayuse let's you cancel up to the day. Basically if you don't check in and swipe your card you should be able to cancel beforehand.

Hotels dot com has an option for some hotels that allows you to cancel the room up to the day of the booking. If you don't stack your rotation 3 deep for the hotel so you get one round during your lunch break, then another for happy hour, and the third for breakfast the next day, this is a good option. A lot of the hotels that allow you to cancel the day of will require you to pay a few bucks more for that privilege.

First off the extra $10 is definitely worth it if you're dealing with someone new or someone in your rotation you know isn't super reliable. But it gets even better. Often times the hotel that offered you the last minute cancellation for the up charge will have available rooms the day of your date for a lower price anyway. If the SB doesn't show, you cancel the room and move on. If she does show and the room is cheaper, cancel the first booking and then rebook a non refundable for a lower price. It takes all of 10 minutes. If she shows and the room isn't cheaper that day, you paid an extra $10 to protect $125 or more depending on the hotel.

Frankly though, if you stack enough ladies in the rotation for each room, you can just book the cheaper non refundable rooms each time.

Agree. I have a hotel I use locally in WV. Not far from my house. But, I book through the online hotel site (I'm in their points club or whatever). It always says that you have to cancel 48 hours in advance or something on the site. BUT.

What I've found is you can just call the front desk of the actual hotel, talk to the clerk and ask them to cancel the room (sometimes, even as late as like 7 pm or something on the day you were supposed to check in), and they will do it. No extra charge.

As I'm sure you've all experienced, I've had SB's be all dtf, we make the appointment (I usually like to meet them 7 or 8 pm, that way we can spend more than just a hit and git type situation). I log on to the hotel site and make a res. Of course, I'll text the SB the day of to confirm. And of course some of them ghost at that point. I'll usually wait until like 5 or 6, and if they still haven't confirmed for that night, then call the hotel front desk and cancel. If the front desk sounds a bit hesitant, I make up some bs story about my secretary was supposed to call and cancel earlier and she forgot or something. It has never failed. Of course, the fact that I have like a zillion points and am a "preferred member" or whatever, might carry a little sway too.

I don't use hotel.com or priceline or whatever. Just the hotel's corporate app / website, etc, to make the booking.

But find the phone number of the actual front desk and call them to cancel if need be.

Also, those hotel reward points can come in handy. I was looking to meet a college chick one time out of town. That weekend was a football game and the rooms were outrageous. But, using my points, I was able to get the room for the normal points price.
